Design and layout of a cyclone are determined by an array of parameters. Besides the actual data of a process application like gas volumes, dust contents or operating temperatures, area/space restrictions and required collection efficiencies are crucial. Single unit cyclones are used for applications starting with smaller gas volumes up to high but mostly continuous gas flows. Single cyclones for e.g. laboratory use are built for some 100 up to a few 1.000 m³/h; usual standard applications range between 2.000 and 100.000 m³/h, in individual cases - and no restrictions in height or space/area - also considerably above.
To design a system, MikroPul uses the experiences of a mutlitude of cyclone types and units supplied, supported by computer based tools (a.o. company developed software).
Our engineering process considers e.g.:
Results: An optimum cyclone geometry is achieved at economically viable manufacturing costs maintaining the requested collection efficiency.
